Trouble with doppelganger, low level
As the title states, I'm a level 5. I am an E/Mo. Already tried a few things, but I am open to anything before I decide to just level higher.

Take blinding flash, make sure you have atleast 8 points in air magic, use it every time it recharges and wand him to death with an air staff. Not sure if your able to put 8 points in air magic at lvl 5 (think so), if not use some consumables to boost it up. Piece of cake.

Use skills that will give you an advantage, things AI can't handle too well.
ie. Meteor Shower .. slow cast, long recharge, let doppleganger waste his time casting it and just move out of the way. Doppleganger wouldn't be as clever, and while he is KD by Met Showers you throw in a quick snare and pick him off. Master of Magic would be a great elite at your level, giving you 12 in all elemental attributes. This skill is also great if you would beat Doppleganger in HM as it would gimp his otherwise overpowered attributes down to 12. |

This requires a bit of skill, but you can actually dodge all of the dopplegangers stuff. I would bring air attunement, blinding flash, and lightning orb. He won't be able to hit you with his weapon, but he can hit you with lightning orb. However, it is possible to dodge lightning orb. Also, as I'm sure you already know, don't bring any healing or defense skills. I might also take the suggestion of putting metoer shower in the build just to make the doppleganger waste time. Glyph of Essence and Glyph of Sacrifice might also be particularly effective as they will disable the doppleganger for a good amount of time after he uses them. GL

Yeah, I agree on Glyph of Sacrifice, that might work.
Master of Magic Glyph of Sacrifice Meteor Shower Blinding Flash Grasping Earth No matter if he use Glyph on MS or BF he's screwing himself over, you can just wand him and finish him of with Glyph + MS. If he cast slow MS, glyph+MS him, run in and snare him with Grasping Earth. |

No problem, most of the characters I've beaten him with 7/9 or so, used just blinding flash. It works great on every profession. Have fun!

For the future if I were you and creating a new char. Always go /n and then vs doppleganger bring awaken the blood+as many skills that sac health that wont hurt you to much. He will kill himself in like 2 seconds.
For now. I agree with Bliding Flash except he will use it on you so the wanding him idea might not work. Glyph Sac and Glyph of Essence might help if he uses sac on blinding flash then he won't have it for awhile. Maybe Lightning Javelin to rupt him while he attacks. Could also go with Thunderclap if you could tome the elite. He won't move out of the ring that causes daze after a few seconds. So you could wand and interupt him and when he uses thunderclap on you just move out of the way. Could also bring all the attunements because he will stand at the start and cast them all before he starts casting on you. It works like that with ranger spirits as well. I used to bring like 6 ranger spirits + poison arrow+kindle(back before burning arrow existed) to kill him really easily. |

Also, you can go /R and bring a pet and pet skills. He is then completely useless, since he doesn't have a pet and thus can't use any of your skills, and he'll go down in like 3 seconds.
Also, PvE skills are great, since he can't use them. |
